Paramedical Team
The main role and responsibility of the team is to assess and evaluate learners with disabilities in order to establish their current milestones and developmental goals that they have achieved. Based on the outcome/s of such assessment, schools are allocated to learners accordingly.
The paramedical team is also involved in providing in house training to SENA staff and in organising workshops and training for personnel of the Special Education Needs Schools.
They provide their expertise in implementing projects that are geared towards promoting the vision and mission of The Special Education Needs Authority.
In addition, the team ensures that all therapists of SEN schools follow the norms and standards and the code of ethics as set out by the Allied Health Professional Council of Mauritius
