Deewakarsingh Authelsingh

Director

Deewakarsingh Authelsingh is the Director Special Education Needs Authority. He has been the adviser in Curriculum and Innovative teaching at the Ministry of Education, Mauritius and was also a Senior Lecturer at the Mauritius Institute of Education. He was a scholarship holder and completed a BFA, PG Dip in Brand Management, PG Dip in Inclusive and Special Education Needs, PGCE in Professional Studies Brighton and a Master in Educational Leadership and Management. He has been driving the Nine Years Continuous Basic Education Reform communications, which is a National Educational Reform and has led the Education team for broadcasting educational learning channels and online teaching strategies during COVID 19 confinement period. His research interests include the use of technology in special education needs and reform policies in general. Mr Authelsingh has also been involved in UNESCO programmes for Special Education Needs and Africa adaptation programme for climate change (AAPCC).
