Introduction to Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA)

The Special Education Needs Authority, in collaboration with two esteemed representatives from Canada - Dr. Carmen Hall and Dr. Kimberly Maich – is organizing a pivotal Webinar titled “Introduction to Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA).” This Webinar is crucial as we aim to build a cohesive and informed community dedicated to enhancing the quality of education as well as a strong support for learners with disabilities and special education needs.

The two distinguished Canadian representatives are:

Dr. Kimberly Maich

Dr. Kimberly Maich is a full, tenured professor at Memorial University focusing on research, teaching, and publications related to autism. She is also a teacher, behaviour analyst, and psychologist. She currently has a private practice on the rocky island Newfoundland & Labrador, Canada where she lives in a three-generation home overlooking the ocean. She is a parent to three neurodiverse adults, a proud grandparent of two small grandsons, and has been married to John for 33 years.

Dr. Carmen Hall

Carmen Hall, PhD, BCBA-D is a Clinical Director at Looking Ahead Clinical Services and Owner of Endless Possibilities in London, Ontario, Canada. She is also an Assistant Professor in the Master’s in Professional Education – ABA at Western University and coordinated the Autism and Behavioural Science Graduate Certificate for 14 years at Fanshawe College. In the past number of years Carmen’s research and clinical practice has focused on teaching independent life skills to adults with intellectual disabilities and integrating technology into teaching at post-secondary.
