The Special Education Needs Authority addresses literacy needs of our learners with disability. Disabilities may be diverse, with each learner having varying needs. Inclusion is a continuous process which upholds abilities and values for independent living.
The Spelling Bee is one of the oldest forms of literacy assessment which allows for learners to gradually develop cognitive abilities. It is definitely not limited to concentration and memorisation only: learners with special needs actively engage into a process which enables them to learn through activities and interactions. The Spelling Bee shall be addressing each learner’s needs — needs which are always geared towards developing a learner’s skills for independent living.
SENA – as an Authority – provides different augmented services to improve the abilities of our learners so as to foster equity, equality and inclusion.
