He is now a liaison officer at the SEN Authority.
Soovan Sharma Dookhoo joins in the team to share his experiences and expertise with the Special Education Needs Authority. As a person with diverse disabilities aiming to inspire and drive positive change towards special education needs and inclusion in addition to a BSc in Management Business Informatics and Masters in Business administration he is an Executive Member of the Commonwealth Disabled People’s Forum and Chairperson for the Climate Action Committee. Advocating internationally for accessibility and inclusion. Engagements span across UN conventions, the Young African Leaders Initiative, Normalising Inclusion campaign and panels at the Russia Africa Economic Forum.
Soovan joins in to actively engage in embracing diversity, gradually improve access beyond barriers, and empowering all.
He foresees a journey embodies determination, collaboration, and advocacy, aimed at inspiring positive change in Special Education Needs Authority and promoting continuous inclusion.
